Filipino Nursing Diaspora Day

The Filipino Nursing Diaspora Day is celebrated on 7th May coinciding with the International Nursing Week (6-12 May) celebration.

The theme for the inaugural nursing diaspora day (2020), “Creating connections and shaping the evolving role of the Filipino nurses”, provided an opportunity to enhance the collaborative professionalism of the Filipino nurses in various parts of the world and recognizes their significant contributions in advancing the health and well-being of our society.

Last year’s celebration is extra special because the World Health Organization (WHO) has designated 2020 as The Year of the Nurse and Midwife, and because it is the 200th anniversary of Nightingale’s birth.
